29 March 2011:  The hallowed ground for luxury car manufacturing, the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars head office and manufacturing plant at Goodwood, was the venue for Rensburg Sheppards Investment Management to launch its new sponsorship initiative Appreciating Assets, held with Christie’s, the world-renowned auction house.

Rensburg Sheppards -  one of the UK’s leading private client investment management firms - has created Appreciating Assets to provide clients with the opportunity to deepen their interests in subjects they are passionate about through fascinating insights into the rare, the valuable and the unusual. The first partner for Rensburg Sheppards’ Appreciating Assets is Christie’s.  
 
Guests enjoyed behind the scenes tours of the Rolls-Royce manufacturing plant, learning about the cutting edge technology and traditional craftsmanship skills that combine to create Rolls-Royce’s world-famous motor cars.
 
Christie’s specialists displayed 100 unique and beautiful objects sourced for the occasion and presented along side the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Ghost motor cars. Over 170 guests learned about collecting, craftsmanship and appreciation across a range of subjects including motoring memorabilia, Great British icons, pop culture, contemporary art, jewelry, arms and amour.  Highlight items included Lord Nelson’s sword-pistol, as well as work by Damien Hirst and Andy Warhol.
