Summary
This is a new role, responsible for the
growth of our sponsorship offer. You will
be experienced developing sponsorship strategies,
but also not afraid to get involved with
the delivery. Our current activity is focused
on arts, education and community programmes
as we extend the range of our work a background
of working within sports sponsorship could
well be an advantage.
The role combines account development, creativity,
networking, strategic, organisational skills
and team building to develop profitable
and sustainable relationships with new and
current clients who include; Akram Khan,
BBC, Colliers, UBS and Youth Music

REPORTING: MANAGING DIRECTOR
Key Areas of Responsibility
The Account Director will be responsible
for expanding Kallaway's position in the
sponsorship sector. The main activities
for this role will include:
Developing existing key accounts
Widening our current portfolio of clients
beyond arts and education
Research and Evaluation
Sponsor Property Creation
Activation, Planning and Management
Account Direction
The Account Director will work on existing
sponsorship contracts to service clients,
develop and grow the business. The role
will require day to day management and control
of existing accounts and drawing on support
from existing senior members of staff to
expand the company's portfolio of sponsorship
clients. As business develops, it will be
necessary to identify and recruit the right
calibre of support staff to build the team
as appropriate. The winning of new clients
and the development of new business are
an essential component of this role and
the success of this planned expansion will
be largely dictated by the success of your
business development activity.
Market Definition
In the first four weeks, the Account Director
will work with the MD and Business Development
Director to analyse Kallaway's opportunities
in the sponsorship sector; identify future
prospects and opportunities and agree a
business development strategy.
Market Visibility
Support initiatives and activities to raise
Kallaway's profile in this area.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospect Cultivation
The Account Director will work with the
Business Development Director to identify,
prioritise and contact prospects.
Proposal / Pitch Development
The Account Director will work with internal
teams to develop proposals, arising either
from cultivation activities or from unsolicited
prospects.
Strategic support
The Account Director will report to the
management board monthly. Collaborate with
other senior members of staff on cross practice
sales opportunities for products and services
in existing accounts to increase business.
Proactively participate in and contribute
to internal business and management activities
as appropriate.
Knowledge Sharing
The Account Director will elevate the profile
of the sponsorship projects within the company.
Budget Management
The Account Director will oversee client
budgets and time management on projects.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate
strong skills in leadership, strategic thinking,
financial and project management, creativity
and commercial acumen. An agency background
is preferable, and the ideal candidate will
demonstrate competence in working with UK
as well as international corporate enterprises
at the most senior levels.
