Monster Supplies
Hoxton Street Monster Supplies is East London’s premier purveyor of everyday and bespoke goods for the living, dead and undead. After catering to the daily needs of every imaginable monster for over 200 years, the shop celebrated a grand re-opening in November 2010, refreshing the 19th century decor with new product design by We Made This.
Customers can find a pharmacopoeia of high quality monster goods, including a complete range of edible human preserves and everyday household essentials like Fang Floss and Zombie Mints. A true fixture in the community, Hoxton Street Monster Supplies is more than just a shop full of Impacted Earwax Bars and Bloodsucker Lollipops. It is often the first stop to a newly minted monster and is also licensed to issue (after an almost entirely painless examination) Death Certificates to customers who have recently stopped living.
Those humans brave enough to venture in are warmly rewarded with products with a literary twist, such as specially commissioned stories in tins of Mortal Terror and Escalating Panic written by a host of well-loved authors such as Zadie Smith and David Nicholls. Proceeds from the shop go to the mysterious Ministry of Stories, hidden behind the shelves.
The shop, located at 159 Hoxton Street, is open from Tuesday-Friday, 1-5pm and Saturday 11am-5pm. For those giants who cannot fit in the shop, or humans who would rather not risk it, Hoxton Street Monster Supplies is launching an online store in time for Hallowe'en 2011 at www.monstersupplies.org
