Churches
Conservation Trust
The Churches Conservation Trust is the
UKs national charity conserving
Englands most significant historic
churches which are no longer needed
for regular worship. Kallaway is working
with the Trust to maxamise its campaigning
voice during 2009, the Trusts
40th year, helping the charity demonstrate
how historic churches can be saved by
bringing them back into the heart of
communities. |
The campaign began with a Birthday
Bells - which saw church bells ring out
in over 70 historic churches across England
and the creation of a free birthday
bells mobile phone ring tone. The
campaign secured over 200 pieces coverage
in the national and regional press across
the UK including 13 national broadcast
packages. To help secure coverage in the
regions, we worked with CCTs regional
managers to develop specific regional campaigns.
This together with a regional broadcast
coordinated by us, secured over 40 broadcast
stories and 157 stories in print. This coverage
enabled CCT messages to reach millions of
people across the UK even winning
praise in the House of Commons.
Kallaway will work with the Trust on a range
of activities over the next year including
their Adopt a Gargoyle campaign
and a Birthday Song weekend,
which will see 40 choirs performing in 40
churches across England.
